Membership applications are available for download or by calling the COGEL Director.
Full Membership is available to any governmental entity directly responsible for the administration of:
- Conduct of political campaigns and elections.
- Public financing of political campaigns.
- Disclosure and regulation of political campaign contributions.
- Standard of conduct for public officials and employees.
- Personal financial disclosures by public officials and employees, by candidates for election to public office and by nominee for appointment to public office.
- Registration of lobbyists and regulation and disclosure of lobbying activities.
- Open public meetings and records.
Organizational & Individual Associate Memberships are available to any other organization, entity or individual involved in the field but not qualified to be full members and carries all privileges and benefits of Full Membership except the right to vote on COGEL business. Individual Associate Memberships are only available to individuals who are themselves, rather than the organization, responsible for payment of their membership dues. Annual Conference
A forum for the exchange of useful information on significant developments and trends in governmental ethics, elections, campaign finance and lobby law. Recent conferences have attracted over 250 participants!

An extensive membership directory containing detailed information on commissions, agencies, boards and offices responsible for the administration and regulation of governmental ethics. Through our Web site members have exclusive access to an on-line database directory.
Support
Our on-line discussion groups offers member support on general or specific law subjects. Posting or answering questions leverages the wealth of information of our membership body.
Education
Programs and materials for the purpose of educating members are available.
Research
Reference and Inquire service is available to all members through the COGEL office.
