Join us for an engaging conversation with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, guided by Atlanta Journal Constitution Journalist Greg Bluestein about election administration and voting rights in Georgia. Topics will include reforms and improvements in the state’s election process and in access to voting; challenges faced by Georgia in the past 5 years; and, the differences at times between public perception and reality. Attendees of this session will get a look beyond the headlines and hear directly from Georgia's chief election administrator about voting today and in coming years. Moderated questions from the audience will be included, time permitting. Please note this session will be recorded and not interactive.

| Brad Raffensperger Secretary of State Georgia |
Brad Raffensperger is Georgia’s 29th Secretary of State, first elected in 2018 and overwhelmingly re-elected in 2022. The Secretary’s top priority is secure and accessible elections. As Secretary of State, Raffensperger delivered the largest implementation of voting machines in the history of this country, on time and on budget. Under Raffensperger’s leadership, Georgia modernized its election system by adding its first auditable paper ballot system and giving the power to secure Georgia’s elections directly to the voter. He is the first Secretary of State to pass legislation requiring photo ID for all forms of voting, and first to hold counties accountable to voters by expanding polling places. He is also the first Secretary of State to audit Georgia's voter rolls to ensure only Americans vote in our elections. | Greg Bluestein Chief Political Reporter The Atlanta Journal-Constitution |
Greg Bluestein is the chief political reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He is an author who writes for the front page of the AJC, co-hosts the Politically Georgia podcast and contributes to the Politically Georgia morning newsletter. He’s a frequent guest on local and national TV and radio, and serves an analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. He’s the author of Flipped, an award-winning book on Georgia’s epic 2020 election, and was honored as the South’s top political journalist in 2024 and 2025 by the Society of Professional Journalists — though the title he might be the proudest of is Axios' “most dedicated” Bulldog fan at the 2023 national championship game. A proud graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in journalism and political science, Bluestein is a lifelong Georgian who serves on several metro Atlanta civic, educational and religious boards. He lives in Dunwoody with his wife and two daughters.
